On Las Vegas Boulevard
I looked down from the top of the Eiffel Tower
after drinking a foot-long margarita just to say I did
before walking a block or two
to photograph a white tiger
then crossing the street
to stare for 15 minutes at a Monet
after which I took an escalator
past the world’s finest da Vinci forgery
and an elevator to the fourth floor
where I gave $10 to the spitting image of Michael Jackson
smiled at Elvis
watched choreographed jets of water
sing along with Andrea Bocelli
and had a Robuchon masterpiece as a late-night snack
before returning to 300 square feet someone had just cleaned for me
and having the audacity
to complain about my feet hurting
