I just wanted to sneak in here during what I’m told is an important presentation to which I am meant to be paying strict attention (this is about how well I follow orders) to offer my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you. Your kindness, support and encouragement have been overwhelming and mean more to me than you will ever know. If no one has told you they loved you today … well, I would be more than willing to come stare reproachfully at them, because they should have. But regardless, I am saying it now. This dork loves you.
And thank you, above all, for sharing your souls with me and the world. It can’t help but be changed by you, you know. Every beautiful, stirring, angry, thought-provoking, brutal, uplifting, insightful, agonizing, wounded, gentle word you leave here for hearts to find.
